My Photography Adventure!

Back in November Hubby and I were talking on a drive down to Richfield and I told him that I want to be a photographer! He thought that would be pretty cool and he is always so supportive of all my ideas. So after talking and texting all my photography friends I have a plan! I am going to buy a Canon 70D for my starter dslr and I am looking into a good lens or two. I am so excited!

I have always loved photography. In second grade I won a photography contest. My photo was a picture of graffiti on a electrical box near my ward building in Yuma, AZ. Sounds real pretty right?! Well it fit the category of the contest. The picture was taken on a disposal camera and I won my very first camera! It was a Kodak Star 110. I loved that camera! So here I am starting a new adventure. I already have a shoot in the works so that's exciting. I have a few shoots that I am planning for my children as well! I've been studying a photography text book my friend let me borrow & I'm also signed up for a Lightroom photo editing workshop with FotoFly. It's at Thanksgiving Point and I am so excited to take it. I have been trying to find time to study on my own time and it's slow going. So this class is just what I need to get started in photo
editing.

Here's a picture of me holding my Photography award

(pretty sure this is the one I had)

I have come up with a lot of different ideas of what I wanted to do as a hobby or business the past few years and I feel good about this one :). It's hard while raising kids to start something new but this is something I can start out slow in and use it to take great pictures of my children in the process! I am so blessed to have so many friends and family that are also talented at taking pictures and I am planning on soaking up all their wealth of knowledge!

Wish me luck!
